Painting bisqueware and plaster is available during opening hours. Places may be limited whilst parties are booked but you can always contact us to check space availability. We also do painting glazed ware. Plates, mugs and bowls that can be used after firing.

Painting Prices
Most pieces are £3.00, £4.00 or £5.00.
Larger pieces are £6.00 or £7.00.

***Throwing***
Throwing your own pot on the wheel is available when booked in advance.
A pot approximately 8cm is usually achieved and this can either be taken away on the day, fired once so that it can be painted with normal paints or fired with a blue or green glaze.

Thrown and fired and collected after 2 weeks - £5.00

***Wheel Hire***
Hourly Throwing tuition is also available at £20.00 per hour. Please book this in advance.
During the tuition you will be given the techniques required to leave and make your own pots by yourself. If you are a beginner and would like some help improving your skills we can offer that too.
We have 4 electric wheels available for hire at £13.00 per hour. Why not hire one for the family to have a play on. The price includes clay and firing.
Glazing these pots is £1.00 per pot.

***Handmodelling***
You can let your imagination run wild and model anything you can think of in our hand modelling workshops.
Hand building workshops are available for groups of 5 - 25 people. Again this should be booked in advance.
Use of the tools and firing are covered in the price of £3.50 per 350g of clay. An additional £19.00 is charged if tuition is required.

***Parties***
Parties are a big hit here at The Potters Wheel. Booking is essential and we can provide about an hour of fun for groups of 5-25.
Our most popular (numbers 5-12) party involves painting a piece of bisqueware and then one at a time you come and have a go at making a pot on the potters wheel. This is £8.00 per person.
We can cater for nearly all ages and realise that adults like to have a go too.
The paints we use are not recommended for children under 3.

PETERS POTTERS
A pre school age pottery session. Listen to a story with Peter and then do a clay activity related to the story.£4.00 each including a drink. Tuesdays and Thursdays 11.00 - 12.00 term time only.AFTERSCHOOL POTTERY CLUB
This runs on a Thursday evening from 4pm to 5pm for children from 7 to 11 years old. It costs £5.00 per child.Please phone to book as places are limited. 5 SESSION POTTERY COURSE
This course covers the basics in pottery and is for complete beginners. You can choose your own times to come and spread out the 5 sessions for as long as you like.It costs £22.50 for each two hour session. The first hour is under instruction. The second hour is mostly working on your own. CONTEMPORARY CHINA PAINTING
Elaine Rickard will be giving lessons in China painting. £10.00 will include basic materials.see www.held.co.uk
